Join us for an online PL exploring how to get the most from Maths300 and create and deliver engaging, accessible and challenging investigative mathematics lessons in a secondary setting. Our goal is to build resilient and confident students who are willing to take mathematical risks and think like a mathematician.
Our presenter, Denise Halliday, is the AAMT Education Consultant and an experienced high school maths teacher. This course is aimed at individual secondary school teachers who are new to Maths300 or who want to develop their pedagogy in understanding and using the Maths300 resources.
Participants will receive a resource pack by email and will get to actively explore some of the Maths300 tools and resources in the session.
If you don't yet have a Maths300 subscription, you can still take part in the PL. Write to us at [email protected] and we'll organise temporary access for you.
Denise is the Education Specialist at AAMT. She brings with her eight years of experience working in schools in mathematics classrooms and in leadership roles. A committed believer that mathematics is for everyone she is interested in promoting engagement, enjoyment and a positive attitude to mathematics learning across the spectrum of student achievement levels. She keenly explores pedagogical strategies to challenge gifted and talented learners and to embed authentic contexts into learning to foster mathematical thinking and numeracy for students who may have struggled in the past.
