The competition received over 200 entries from schools and students in four different states.
Entries were judged against balanced criteria for:
- communicating the messages that counting is a universal activity and/or everyone has value.
- originality of design and visual impact including suitable and catchy title.
- mathematical ideas relevant to the age group.
- balance of images and text.
The quality and creativity displayed in the entries delighted our judges who would like to congratulate all the students that entered and to thank all the teachers who supported their students in their endeavours.
The winners have been chosen and announced and we’re excited to be showing some of these fabulous artworks here! There were runners-up and also many Highly Commended entries in each age group. Certificates and prizes will be posted from the Faculty of Science, University of Technology Sydney.
