This child is exploring measurement of mass through balancing the scale.

- How will you know when the scale is balanced?
- How many weights do you have on each side?
- Is that an odd or even number?
- Which end of the scale is heavier/lighter?
- How many more weights will you need to add to the left/right side of the scale to make it balance?
