Position Paper on Early Childhood Mathematics (2006)
[UNDER REDEVELOPMENT] A joint position paper of the Australian Association of Mathematics Teachers and Early Childhood Australia (the peak advocacy organisation for young children and members of the early childhood profession). The paper is also available in a format designed for black and white printing.
Several support papers have been developed to discuss and elaborate on key matters raised in the position paper. Currently available are papers on Play and Resources. If you would like to suggest other topics and/or indicate an interest in writing additional support papers, please contact the AAMT office.
